Home Remedies for Dark Circles

We all know that when we see dark circles under our eyes it doesn't feel good. You look tired, unhealthy and worn out. Luckily there are home remedies for dark circles available that can help you get back to looking beautiful and feeling great.

1. Tea bags are very good for curing dark circles. So don’t get rid of those used tea bags. Put them in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Put those bags on your eyes for at least ten minutes daily.

2. Take raw slices of cucumber or raw potato and place them on your eyes nightly. They work best when cold. This refreshes your eyes and cures dark circles. These slices will also relieve tired eyes, a primary cause of dark circles.

3.  Take cucumber juice and refrigerate it. Mix with lemon juice and lanolin cream and apply under the eyes for 20 minutes.

4.  Mix almond oil and honey to apply to the eyes daily. This will remove dark circles in a few days. Or you can choose just to use almond oil alone.

5.  Another good remedy is castor oil. Castor oil massage will calm your eyes and remove dark circles. Massage the skin lightly, using only the ring finger, for one minute under each eye. Massage in one direction only. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wipe it off gently with moist cotton wool.

6.  You can try alternating hot and cold compresses under the eyes. This is another effective remedy for dark circles.

7. Before going out in the sun, apply a sunscreen lotion sparingly under the eyes. Add a drop of water to it before application to give a lighter coverage.
