2. If you are sunburned all over, add ground oatmeal to a bath and sit in that bath for some time for treating the sunburn.

3. Mint is also known to have such cooling properties. Applying peppermint tea or adding peppermint oil to bath water, both of which can help and soothe the burned areas.

4. Cucumbers offer effective sunburn relief.  The best way for using cucumbers on sunburned skin is to make a paste of chilled cucumber. Chill your cucumbers, then use your kitchen blender to create a paste. Apply the paste to sunburned skin to help provide relief to sunburn pain and inflammation naturally.

5. Aloe vera gel, straight from the pods, can provide cooling relief for sunburn. Aloe vera remedy also prevent sunburn blisters, reduce inflammation and chances of infection.

6. Vitamin E is effective for curing bad sunburn. Applying vitamin E directly to the burned areas can help the healing process to begin quicker.

7. Mix a little lemon in unpasteurized milk and apply the milk fats on the burned areas. Wash only after it has dried. Repeat this until the burn is completely gone.

8. Apply a salve of baking soda and vinegar or dissolve vinegar in a bath. Both these sunburn remedies can really help reduce the suffering of sun burnt areas.

9. Vinegar combined with fragrant essential oils like rose or lavender can be used as a continual spray for treating sunburns.

10. Sprinkling cornstarch on your bedding can minimize chafing when you have to lie down or sleep.

11. Applying mustard oil to the sunburn will reduce the burning sensation and thus help in getting rid of sunburn.

12. Application of cold tea bags will not only help reduce the tan but also cool the burn. Green tea compress is known to help as green tea can combat effects of ultraviolet and other harmful radiation.

13. Washing the burnt areas with a mixture of tomato juice and buttermilk is known to cure a sunburn rather quickly.

14. Wheat flour mixed with olive oil, honey and raw egg white can prove to be a very effective salve for sun burned skin.
